We are over the moon to share Tanya and Charley’s stunning destination wedding in the Riviera Maya at the Rosewood Mayakoba last May! We are finally able to post and share these gorgeous photos from Vue Photography because their Featured wedding in Inside Weddings Magazine is on shelves now!!
This wedding was one to remember for all involved! From the ceremony in a traditional Mexican chapel, colorful lush florals, outdoor garden reception, and delicious food and drink, the guests could not believe the beauty of the wedding day. Every part of the day was picturesque and as you will see the details were on point!
The week leading up to the wedding we were tracking the weather and had two different tent companies on standby ready to put up a tent if needed. Ultimately, when on site, the bride and groom made the executive decision not to tent because it would take away from the aesthetic of the Ceiba Garden. The Ceiba Garden is named after the Ceiba Tree that is the center of focus in the garden. Tenting would have hindered the view of this beautiful focal point. Tanya and Charley knew rain might happen and were ready to embrace it!
During dinner, the beautiful blue sky quickly clouded over and dinner was relocated to the restaurant immediately beside the Garden. The resort was amazing and had pre-set tables inside the restaurant to mimic the layout of tables in the Garden for an easy guest transition. Gina and Stephanie worked with the resort staff to cover tables and dry off all of the chairs (not once but twice) so that guests could return for dancing and dessert! The food and service were one of the most important aspects of the wedding to Tanya and Charley and they both agreed that the quick change in dinner plans was handled flawlessly. Tanya even said “We had a blast and the hot summer rain brought the party!”
Even though we were long distance (Tanya in Knoxville, TN and La Cosa Bella in Raleigh, NC), we had the best time planning this gorgeous wedding weekend with Tanya and bringing it all together in Mexico!
All with the help of our all-star team of vendors, we could not have pulled this one off without them!
