Our family Thanksgiving was wonderful, and we hope yours was as well! I would like to share a few helpful time-saving tips with you that worked great for me as the hostess:
- I rented linen and place setting items this year. I was able to pick up rentals the Tuesday before Thanksgiving and returned them the following Monday. No linens to get dry cleaned and plates, glasses and flatware were simply rinsed and put back in their return racks.
- I set my table the Tuesday before. For some reason, setting my table has always seemed rushed in years past but not this year! The only thing I needed to do this year before dinner was light my candles and fill up wine glasses and water goblets.
- For breakfast Thanksgiving morning, I prepared a light fare the day before. We had pumpkin bread and fruit for breakfast with cheese and crackers to snack on around lunch time. The oh-so-pretty cheese ball recipe is coming soon. It looks fancy but doesn’t take much time at all.
